The community at Casselden supports a variety of sustainable, charitable and wellness initiatives. Our Weekly Wellness program currently consists of the following classes for the community of Casselden.

Tai Chi Tuesdays

Casselden Terrace, Level 5 Casselden, 8:00am and 8:30am 16/04/2019 – 11/06/2019

Release stress and tension with a 25 minute Tai Chi class every Tuesday morning. This gentle and restorative exercise therapy helps release physical, mental and emotional stress and improves health and wellbeing. Our easy Tai Chi course explores slow stretches, and gentle flowing movements with a strong focus on mindfulness and presence. Over the 10 weeks, two five element forms of easy Tai Chi will be shared with participants. Sessions are suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness, movements are performed standing and do not require special attire.

Wellness Wednesdays

Wellness Pop Up 7:30am to 9:30am

The first Wednesday of the month will see a wellness pop up in the foyer to help you continue your wellness discovery. Engage with the health practitioners who will help assess your current health status.

Move and Mobilise

8:00am to 8:45am

Join Hakan for this 10 week course. By registering for this first class we assume your participation each Wednesday through to 12th June.

This class will be a mix of mobility, strength and cardiovascular training. We will get you moving and feeling great with a variety of body weight exercises. Important movements like running, squatting, jumping, crawling, lunging will be a focus and most importantly we will have a bit of fun while training.

Raw Treats Workshop

Casselden Terrace BBQ Area, Level 5 Casselden 12:00pm 03/04/2019 12:00pm

Throughout this 45 minute workshop, Allie will complete two snack demonstrations and will additionally be educating you on the nutritional properties of each ingredient and the benefit they have to your mind and body. Inner Dance

Level 3 Leisure Building, 50 Lonsdale 12:00pm to 2:00pm Each Wednesday 17/04/2019 – 10/04/2019

Take time for yourself, de-stress and reconnect with true nature through lunchtime innerdance meditation sessions. A sound-based, meditative practice that works through stillness, deep listening and introspection. Inner dance denotes the ‘dance’ of our self-awareness, and is not physical in nature. Held on level 3 in the leisure building 12-2pm, you are free to join the experience for as long or as little time as you please. There is also the option of soaking up the calming atmosphere and tranquil music while enjoying lunch nearby.

Mindfulness

Level 3 Leisure Building, 50 Lonsdale 12:00pm and 12:30pm 18/04/2019 – 13/06/2019

Enjoy 25 minutes of Mindfulness with Sacha Stewart.

Outcomes include increased resilience, creativity, productivity, team building and enhanced communication. In these hands-on workshop’s participants, will learn easy 5-minute mindfulness tools to incorporate into your day to day. A key focus of these sessions will be to take a breath and tune in with mindful meditation.
