Sustainability and Efficiency

Casselden is owned by ISPT as part of their portfolio of Australian office properties. ISPT is committed to environmentally sustainable building practices and portfolio management, with a practical approach that delivers real savings through reduced energy consumption, water use and waste. These are important issues for tenants of the building and their visitors, as well as ISPT’s investors.

In regards to Casselden this means:

  • Capital expenditure projects to minimise energy usage in the building, including the lift upgrade and the black water treatment plant to reduce water consumption
  • Recycled waste programs, including online training to help tenants understand what can and cannot be recycled
  • Working with tenants to quantify the impact of our sustainable programs

The building operating systems are maintained to be as environmentally efficient as possible. They incorporate monitoring and performance measures.

The range of sustainability measures implemented to improve the performance and efficiency of Casselden include:

  • Precinct black water treatment plant with onsite sewage processing
  • Energy efficient lifts and upgrade controls
  • Energy efficient chillers and VAV air-conditioning system
  • Low VOC materials and CO2 monitoring
  • High efficiency T5 fluorescent lighting
